Studio-quality compression with full-featured controls and unmatched tonal compensation for guitar and bass.
Traditionally, manufactures have “dumbed down” compressors, internally setting a half dozen controls and putting 2 knobs on top. The Broadband Compressor is in response to this demeaning lineage of compressor pedals. You’re a grown up and we believe you can turn your own knobs!
The Broadband Compressor puts all of the power in the user’s hands with auto or manual attack/release, threshold, ratio, make up gain, a dry mix control, tonal compensation for the compression path and a VU meter to monitor gain reduction. For those “responsible enough”, the Broadband Compressor is the pedal you’ve been waiting for. Compress to your heart’s desire!
Controls
Threshold: Sets the level at which compression takes place (turn up for more compression).
Ratio: Determines the amount of output compression relative to the input. Range 1:1 to ∞:1
Attack: The time constant that determines when the compressor attacks (turn up for slower attack).
Release: The time constant that determines when the compressor releases (turn up for slower release).
Gain: +/- Make up gain that is post compression.
Mix: Mix of dry signal and effected compression path. Range 100% dry to 100% wet.
Push Switch: Intensifies compression for a fatter, punchier sound.
Auto/Manual Switch: Selects either auto attack/release mode or manual knob operation.
Mid Switch: 3 positions switch that can be set flat, boost or cut mid frequencies on compression path
Bright Switch: 3 positions switch that can be set flat, boost or cut high frequencies on compression path
VU Meter: Displays compression gain reduction relative to 0.
